Faith in Allah

Let’s learn importance of faith.

It was the day before our first professional exam, a day full of stress and fear. My mind was full of questions like what will happen? How am I going to make it through? How will I remember all this syllabus? How will I cover this much till tomorrow? After asar I was walking while studying, my mom was reciting Quran, I sat by her side and placed my head in her lap. While reciting, she raised her voice slightly when this ayah came:

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا

“And put your trust in Allah; and enough is Allah as Disposer of affairs.”- Qur’an

She repeated this ayah and it was not just a ray of hope in the dark for me but the whole sunshine. It made me cry. I cried my heart out and I felt at peace. I no longer had those questions as I knew Allah is always with me and I’m never alone. And guess what happened the next day, I couldn’t revise histology due to shortage of time. I just saw a few diagrams and the question came from that less than one percent which I saw before paper and overall the exam went well. What’s the point of telling this? It’s that there are a lot of times when Allah sends us signs. Have you noticed when you’re stuck in a problem and you open Quran and find the solution in the verses you see? Do you remember the times when you couldn’t find a way out of your problem but you trusted Allah and He showed you the best ways out? All these times make our beliefs firm and make us realise that indeed Allah is enough as disposer of affairs.So whenever you feel down, you feel like your world is crumbling, you feel hopeless and nothing is working out for you, don’t be disappointed and satisfy your heart by thinking:

ﻻ ﺗَﻘْﻨَﻄُﻮﺍ ﻣِﻦ ﺭَّﺣْﻤَﺔِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪ”
