Attribute of Believers.

Let’s learn the importance of forgiveness.

Forgiveness.

F????????????????????????, ???????? ???????????? ???????????????? ???????? ????????????????????????????????.In today’s world, with all the focus on material things and worldly achievements, we’ve forgotten about good manners. Anger , rage and negativity are so common these days. We forget that our anger first harms none other than our own selves. So what’s the solution? It lies in FORGIVENESS.It’s not an easy thing to do initially but not an impossible one either. If someone wronged us and we are angry about it, what happens? Our blood boils and that person may not even know. We can either let that thing hurt us continuously or we can forgive that person for the sake of Allah and get rid of our mental discomfort. It’ll give your mind an unparalleled peace.

Allah says in the Quran: وليعفوا وليصفحوا الا تحبون أن يغفر الله لكم

“Let them pardon and forgive, Do you not love that Allah should forgive you?”

So what forgiveness does for us in aakhirah? If we forgive others, Allah will forgive us in sha Allah. Some people have this attitude that I won’t take revenge but I’m not forgiving this person either and I’ll see him on the day of judgement. This is a wrong approach. Firstly, you don’t know if you’re actually the one who is wronged. What if this case proceeds otherwise on the day of judgement and you actually turn out to be the guilty one? Secondly, even if you’re 100 percent sure that you’re right, still don’t say this. Because you may win this case because Allah is Al-ADL, but what about all the other cases? What of Allah sees all those cases with the eyes of justice? We cannot enter paradise if we are judged justly on that day, we need mercy(Rahmah) of Allah. So in order to get hope for that mercy, we need to show mercy to His slaves. We get many examples from the lives of our beloved Prophet ﷺ and his compassion about how they showed utmost level of forgiveness. At the time of Fatah Makkah, all the people who tortured Muhammad ﷺ and his companions were forgiven, except a few.

After dealing with Abu Sufiyan, Prophet (S.A.W.) said to the people of Makkah:”O Quraish, what do you expect from me today?”And they said, “Mercy, O Prophet of Allah. We expect nothing but good from you.”After their reply, Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) declared:” Today I will speak to you as Yusuf spoke to his brothers. I will not harm you and Allah will forgive you for He is Merciful and Loving. Go you are free.”

Imagine how beautiful this gesture is. Those people wronged him for years, tortured him and made him leave his home. But what did he give in return? FORGIVENESS..!!!So we need to incorporate this gesture in our lives and forgive people if we want to be forgiven by Allah. May Allah bless us with tofeeq to forgive others and pave the path of His mercy upon us. Aameen ya rabbi..!!!
