Contentment of Heart

Belief in the divine plans of Allah

In this world of hustle and bustle, most of humanity is struck on the worship of money, status, careers, desires and even their own being; while lacking the INNER PEACE. The tragedy of our choice is that we chain our necks with attachments and then ask why we choke. We put aside our real air and then wonder why we can’t breathe.

Allah says :“And whatever affliction befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have committed and (yet) He pardons most (of your faults).” (Qur’an 42:30)

While depending on something materialistic and temporary, our life will always be in a constant state of unrest and instability. Despite all our achievements, we still ask ourselves, how come no matter what I accomplish,I am never fully satisfied? So long as we remain chained to this world and everything in it, including our own desires, we can never feel true contentment. It is only in trusting the Divine that the soul experiences true peace.

“Such are the ones who believe (in the message of the Prophet) and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in Allah’s remembrance do hearts find rest.” (Qur’an 13:28)

There is nothing more reassuring and calming than the Qur’an–the words of our Creator. Indeed no one loves you more than Allah.Let not Shaytaan let you undermine your belief in Allah’s forgiveness!“Say, O my servants, who have transgressed against themselves (by sinning), do not despair of the mercy of Allah, indeed Allah forgives all sins, Indeed He is the forgiving, the Merciful.” (Quran 39:53)

Everyone wants to be organized in their life, but things aren’t necessarily going exactly how we plan. We plan to be successful, to be loved, to be healthy and to be rich or knowledgeable. But we don’t plan to be sad, to be afraid or to be hurt and we also don’t want our plans to be shattered. So when we don’t get what we want, it is the time to halt and reflect on how we are not in charge and He is in charge. What we need to remember is that at every step of our way, Allah is with us protecting and loving us 70 times more than our own mothers. He may be doing things that seem so difficult to accept, however it is actually the best thing for us. So,by all means, plan, dream, hope and wish for the best but put your trust in the One who knows you better than you know yourself because He is the best of the Planners.

“It may be that you dislike a thing and the same is good for you, and you love a thing and the same is bad for you: Allah knows but you do not.” Quran, 2:216

May Allah forgive and accept all our acts of Ibadah and reward us with the best of rewards in this world and hereafter. Ameen “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”(Qur’an 7:23)
