“Gratitude”

Sometimes you feel so down, you criticize your inner self, you only see your weaknesses, and failures and this feeling become ecstasy. On the verge of this feeling, you only see darkness.
you just want to commit suicide because you think you are a waste, you are a mess,you become so hopeless & unthankful that u feel u have nothing & u can achieve nothing.
That’s happening because you did not appreciate your small things, you did not count your blessings, you did not have the habit to appreciate things you have, you just don’t know the beauty of gratitude.
& When you lose the habit of gratitude, you neglect the blessings which Almighty has showered upon you, so you take them for granted,& focus on your shortcomings,u focus on the blessings of other people, you long for them. You feel you have nothing worth full,& this type of feeling ultimately gives the chance of developing jealousy & hatred regarding others!
I do sometimes think when we make something or invent something. we know the drawbacks, strengths, and purpose of that thing. just take the example of the iPhone. the owner knows its battery span, its functioning, its qualities, and its drawbacks
similarly, someone creates us too and He is Allah almighty
He knows us the best in every way because He creates us. He knows the drawbacks in us. He knows that man always wanted to do things quicker and was never satisfied with circumstances, therefore He Himself has given us the shortcut to achieve more & that is gratitude.
He says in Quran,

“if you are grateful, I will surely give you more “

(Surah Ibrahim:7)
His words are a hundred percent true, as he knows us because He creates us, He knows, being a human it’s in his nature that he wants more & more, therefore He advises us to be grateful, grateful for everything you have, grateful for everything you lose, grateful in every up & down of life.
HE makes us understand this beautiful concept of gratitude by giving the EXAMPLE of His kind and noble human beings who followed HIS words and Allah gave them everything.
yes, I am talking about “Hazrat Ayub A.S.” he was the most thankful full person of Allah. He thanked Allah for everything HE blessed him either small or big. Even when Allah tested him and took all the things from it ,he didn’t leave the essence of gratitude. Even a time came when Hazrat Ayub A.S had nothing ( no money, all children dead, all crops destroyed) and he suffered from an awful disease. he had no one there except his wife. Despite all the things he remained thankful to Allah. He believed, ‘Allah sure has a better plan for me, I existed itself is the blessing of Allah, InshaAllah He would have retained better plans for me’..and in the end, Allah gives him everything better than before. Allah gives him wealth, more obeying children, fertile lands, and everything.
Allah appreciates Hazrat Ayub A.s gratitude and mentioned him in Quran so that mankind learns from him, making a reminder for all of us!
HE quoted in Quran:
“And when Ayub(A.S) prayed to his LORD saying,”I’m Badly afflicted with disease,but of all those who show mercy ,You are the most Merciful”, we accepted his prayer & relieved his afflictions & restored not only his family but also as many more with them as a favour from us ,so that it may serve as a reminder for all our worshippers”

(Surah anbiya:83,84)

The REMINDER is, to be grateful to the Almighty in every circumstance, whether the circumstances are good or bad.
Indeed we are under the shade of unlimited blessings, so don’t lose or devalue the things you have, in the regret of not having the things u long for.
He says; “and if you count the blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them”[Quran-14;34]
so we should learn from Hazrat Ayub A.S. and stop worrying about the things we can’t control. we should be grateful for the things Allah blessed us with. He surely has a better plan for us.
