RAMZAN

RAMZAN, The most awaited month, as sacredness is in the air and all the broken hearts and all the tired souls gain contentment.

Have we ever wonder why it happens so that all the pain ,all the emptiness just vanish away?. This is because every Muslim is engaged in ibadat , just trying to go near Almighty, just trying to please Almighty. This is what a soul was missing. Zikr of Allah is the nutrition of soul. How exactly it is possible that soul is happy without it’s nutrition.

We care alot regarding the nutrition of body. But what about the nutrition of soul?

Now the question arises, do we really spend Ramzan as we were supposed to spend. Do we exactly know what’s the purpose of fasting?

In the Surat Al Baqarah, Almighty says,

So the purpose of fasting is “taqwa ” meaning “fear of Allah “

This means avoiding everything that can be cause of Allah’s wrath.

Fasting never meant to just stay hungry. Fasting is meant to avoid every thing that is disliked by Almighty due to fear of Allah ‘s disobedience.

So now ask yourself. Do we really fast?. Apart from just staying hungry, do we avoid things that are disliked by Almighty.

Do we avoid telling a lie?

Do we avoid back bitting?

Do we avoid abusing?

Do we avoid anger?

Do we avoid shouting?

Do we avoid hurting others?

Do we avoid music?

So if we keep doing the things that are disliked by Almighty, then we don’t fast we just stay hungry. So is just staying hungry worthy?

Purpose of fasting was to make us learn Fear of Allah, fear of Allah ‘s disobedience and fear of Allah’s anger. Fasting is training of nafs to avoid every thing that can cause wrath of Allah and to engage one’s self in the deeds that are liked by Almighty.

Fasting is to make us learn the obedience of Allah . To make us learn that obedience of Allah should be kept above one’s desires as during fasting, we don’t eat or drink though we want to but avoid them because of fear of Allah and for the obedience of Allah.

Fasting gives us following lessons:

Keep Allah’s obedience over every thing through out the year.

Engage one’s self in the deeds ordered by Allah and leave everything that can cause disobedience of Allah.

Allah’s obedience should be the priority keeping aside personal desires.

This practice is for the whole year not just for one month. Ramzan comes to make our habits for the whole year. When things can be practised for one month, why that can’t be practised throughout the year? Try to make good habits and to practise them throughout the year.

May Allah enables us to spend Ramzan as Allah wants us to spend and may Allah enables us to follow His orders throughout the whole year. Ameeen.

    Barakallah ????
Fasting is just a special deed to attain taqwa in Ramdan . The ultimate purpose is doing everything in accordance to Allah swt and leave everything and restricting all tasks that displease Allas swt ..
